We’ll take anything that reminds us of Brazil at this point.  We’ve been withering in heat from Denver to Brooklyn, and all we want is to be in a place where these kinds of temperatures can be tolerated.  That place in our mind is Rio de Janeiro.  To be specific, the beaches, the warm water…heck, the meat on a stick! 

While we might never get our ridiculous Brazilian fantasy to come true, we can recommend the movie that spawned this fantasy, That Man From Rio.  The 1964 movie stars Jean-Paul Belmondo at the height of his nearly obscene attractiveness and features a series of implausible, yet marvelous adventures that takes him from Paris to Rio to the Amazon in less than a week.  The glamour of the 1960’s is in full effect from the car chases to Modernist houses hosting cocktail parties in Rio.
