If there is one thing I can say about working at Delight.com, it’s that if you have an idea, and you harp loud enough about it, it will most likely come to fruition. Case in point: our intrepid Customer Service and Operations Director, Lynne.

Lynne (who is also responsible for discovering the GurglePot!) fell in love with this little bird and quite frankly, hasn’t shut up about it. "Where I used to work we had this bird, and it held paper clips, and it CHIRPED when you touched it, and it was just the cutest thing!"

Various resonations of the above sentence would be exclaimed from time to time, just to the point of becoming moderately annoying.

Then one day I discovered that one of our very favorite vendors have been making this bird all along! Oh joy! Oh rapture! The Chirping Bird was coming to Delight!

I didn’t tell Lynne that it had been ordered, but waitied patiently for the delivery and when it arrived, I ran back to the warehouse, tore open the box and proudly placed the little bird on Lynne’s desk.

That liitle bird chirped all day long that day, and Lynne was - well - delighted.

And you know what? It IS the cutest thing! It’s like this tiny, brightly colored ray of sunshine amidst what sometimes seems to be an endless pile of papers and queue of emails.
