It’s 5:56pm and you’ve only been home for ten minutes. There is a sinking feeling in your stomach as you stand in your kitchen and stare at the open refrigerator. You have an hour to make whatever is on the top two shelves into a feast for your visiting sister, her fiancé, her two college roommates, your brood, and your mother.

You take a deep breath and grab the asparagus, tomatoes, artichokes, onions, and garlic…while running past Food Network episodes over in your head.

You set yourself up a bit of an assembly line. The colander is in the sink to wash, towels on the counter for drying, the cutting board is ext, and at the end sits a frighteningly large skillet.
