Rachel Sarnoff, CEO & Editor of Ecostiletto.com dishes about her favorite Delight goodies and why you need to order a "Dirty Chai Latte" off the menu at Coffee Bean.

-  Oh I am so coveting the Solio Solar Charger. My phone is always running out of juice and this little egg can grab power from the sun or the wall, if it’s cloudy. No more cords!

-  I’m always talking about how incandescent bulbs use only 25% of their energy to produce light, which makes them a huge energy waster (plus they don’t last very long). These cute green beeswax “light bulb” candles are a great illustration! They’d be perfect for my next EcoStiletto Girls’ Night Out party.

-  A tiny bird on a cage! A flutter-worthy butterfly! These pop-up placemats are so darned cute I’m tempted to say I’d buy them even if they weren’t made from recycled paper. Lucky, I don’t have to.

-  I always carry a reusable bag in my purse—you never know when you’ll need to carry something, and it’s just so eco-gratifying to say, “No thanks, I have my own” at the supermarket or mall. These RuMe Bags in sexy metallic are my new faves.

-  After sitting at a computer all day, my shoulders are constantly knotted up. I’ve found one of the best things to do is carry a clutch instead of a shoulder bag. This cute clutch is fair-trade made in Madagascar from handwoven, sustainable raffia. It’s big enough to hold the basics, and the low-key rainbow design will go with everything. Sold!

-  I’ve been a stainless-steel water bottler for a long time. Why take a chance with water that’s not tested by the FDA? Not to mention the fact that eight out of 10 plastic water bottles aren’t recycled and let’s not even get into the environmental costs of manufacturing all that plastic. But I am lazy when it comes to coffee, especially since the drive-through Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf near my house now knows my car by sight and whips up my Dirty Chai Latte (ask for it, it’s not on the menu) before I even get to order. Next time, I’m going to bring a ceramic I’m Not A Paper Cup and use the walk-up.

-  Knowing that the EPA considers the air inside the home more polluted than the air outside, mainly because of particulate matter in chemical household cleaners, I’ve been working with the vinegar-based variety for some time. But when it comes to grout, I can’t seem to win the battle. Here’s to hoping this non-toxic cleaner and little biodegradable scrubbers can get the green out, while keeping my house in the green.

-  I’m not usually a fan of the recycled bottle jewelry trend, preferring instead to save my pennies for recycled-gold pieces, but this necklace made from a recycled beer bottle is just so ridiculously cute I want to wear it everywhere. Plus, as my friends know, I’m a total beer-a-phile. Now you know, too!
