When we heard about Kathleen Plate and her line of recycled glass jewelry we knew we loved the idea, but we weary of high concepts that don’t deliver.  Alas, all our fears were unfounded – her pieces were innovative, clean, and rich in beautiful hues not normally seen in jewelry. 

Although, it was difficult to choose, we featured these earrings because occasionally we have to give in to our flair for the dramatic.  The oversized, cobalt glass hoops with sterling silver French ear wire remind us of Carmen Jones.  We have bought many a pencil skirt, peasant top, and tube of red lipstick trying to replicate her sassy and strange brand of sexiness, but until now haven’t found the appropriate accessories.
