Buddha (in a ) Bowl
February 3rd, 2010
I often find on Sundays or Mondays (ok, or Fridays) I feel the need to pump some life back into my body with a warm, healthy bowl of brothy soup filled with protein and veggies. Its just the thing to restore some balance after a rough weekend of late nights or a long long grueling week.
Then I like to curl up on the couch and watch one of two movies: 1) a completely mind-numbing action-flick, preferably PG-13, so there isn’t too much violence. 2) something where I’ll just cry my eyes out.

Combined with said soup, a fire, and the promise I don’t need to leave the house again for at least 12-15 hours, I can usually bring myself back from the brink, and find a better perspective on things.
These Buddha Bowls seem made for such meals. The shape itself kind of reminds me of a warm hug. It is ergonomically designed to hold with one hand, thumb through the loop and lift to your mouth to sip. Imagine sitting cross-legged on the couch, wrapped in your best blanket sipping from your Buddha Bowl and feeling better by the minute.
Now that’s a meal.

I LOVE THESE BOWLS!! You guys should take photos of the inside of these bowls to allow people to see the indentation of the bowl. These are so awesome and fit so perfectly in the hand causing the “no burn” of the scalding soup bowl!

Bear with me but I’m fancy color impaired. Is Tofu the white one or the yellow one? Thanks.

moe:
Tofu is the white bowl, and buttercream is the yellowish bowl.
haha - sorry for the confusion

good call! I would have thought buttercream was the white bowl.
Now if only we could get pictures of the parsley and aubergine…

What an adorable house-warming gift idea… I really like the orange ones. Reminds me of nights by the fire with fuzzy socks and warm chicken noodle soup….

I use the Buddha Bowl for so many things, I’m not sure how I got along without it. It’s great for soups, salads, pasta, dips. On weekends, I pour my morning coffee in it, sit outside and read the paper! The colors are so luscious I couldn’t decide between Tofu, Buttercream, Aubergine or Green Curry so, of course, I got all four!

I’m so glad you got new colors. I have the white one and love, love it. I use it for my daily cereal and for some reason feel more relaxed! it’s a great way to start the day

The inside of the bowl looks like a butt, and my rice crispies disappear in the crack.

My boyfriend is the chef in the relationship. He can only cook with his pots and pans, (mine are just props that came with the kitchen), which means we eat at his house, at the coffee table, watching instant Netflix. This is when I found out that I am a messy eater. I look down on the ground and there is food all over. So unladylike. I need these bowls because I’m the messy eater. I am a messy eating neat freak.

I just got my bowls this week and I love them!! The box said the color was green curry and the site says Parsley - no problem - the color is beautiful and I plan to fill them with a curry dish with fresh parsley sprinkled on top the very first time I use them. Yummmmm!
