Making ‘Working’ Work For You
April 30th, 2007
In today’s world, there isn’t too much you cant do away from your desk. Wireless internet, cell phones, PDAs, ultra-thin laptops, digital cameras…a gal can set up shop pretty good just about anywhere.
And sometimes, that includes the bed.
We fell in love with this Lap Desk at first because of the very “now” black and white damask design. Then we really loved the price. And THEN – well, it’s obvious how we loved the functionality.
Soft and padded like a bean bag underneath, and high-gloss and smooth on top, this lap desk is a comfortable and stylish way to lounge and work from a place much more comfortable than a desk chair.
We’ve tried our groovy looking lap desk out everywhere: paying bills while sipping coffee in bed; typing emails while watching LOST on the couch…and our new favorite…working on our laptop outside on a chaise lounge. Yeah. LOVE.
This damask lap desk is slim, so you can slide it underneath said bed, or beside you bedside table for easy storage. The hard surface is easy to wipe off, and a better option for writing in bed, as you’re less likely to get pen marks on your nice sheets.
Not that we think you should be working all the time. But if you are, for Pete’s Sake, give yourself a little treat and set up shop in style.

“I've made it no secret that one of my biggest indulgences is getting up early and working in bed. My Mac Book can get really hot, so this desk solves a big problem for me. Plus it keeps my "bed" posture better, and it's so much easier to scribble down notes. I'm also loving using this on the couch. Makes my TV watching much more productive!”

I am SO excited about today’s item! You ladies read my mind–I am studying for law school finals and just yesterday was wishing I had kept my old lap desk. (Now I’m glad I didn’t because this one is a lot nicer looking!) Depending on how deep the cup holder is, it looks like it might be a great place to hold my highlighters too!

I just got mine yesterday and am thrilled with it! It is cute, stylish and really well made. Most importantly it is not really big and bulky like some other lap desks.
