It’s Not A Mug, It’s A Way Of Life
March 13th, 2007There are several things about this mug that make us smile.
Do you remember the opening scene in Joe Vs. The Volcano where all the factory workers trudge up the walkway, morose, with grey skin and heavy feet loathing the idea of another endless workday, with no joy in sight?
Then remember when Joe (played by Tom Hanks) goes way down into his basement office with those awful flickering fluorescent lights and pours himself a pathetic cup of gross looking coffee?
That, my friends is a sad commentary on the modern work place.
Now imagine that same scene, except instead of a sad little Styrofoam cup, Joe pours himself a steaming cup of Joe into his bright, vibrant, artistically decorated Miam-Miam Coffee Mug!
The sun shines through the egress windows!! There is a skip in Joe’s step! The secretary (played by Meg Ryan) wonders if Joes has been working out! And the day starts brightly!
That’s what a killer mug can do for you.
There are several things about this mug that make us smile. First, it’s got this amazing hand-feel. You wrap your hand around its sturdy, ergonomic handle and you really feel like you’re holding on to something, ya know? Second, it’s designed by art director Chip Chipman who was inspired by the kinetic sculptures of Alexander Calder and the abstract forms of Joan Miro. Third, this Solar Series mug is a limited edition, and comes packaged in a beautiful gift box. Translation: “you want to get one fast so you have beaucoup bragging rights when the edition ends.”
We can’t guarantee that the office coffee with taste better with the Miam-Miam Solar Coffee Mug. But we’re pretty sure it will pep you up enough so that your workday won’t start with you convinced you’re dying of a “brain-cloud”.

Love the site btw and have bookmarked it so I can quickly check back each day. Fun!

This mug is surprisingly easy to handle and light. Not to mention, it has the strange ability to be complementary to anything you put near it! My cluttered desk is calling for it!
