OOH! Egg La-La!!!
June 25th, 2008
Here at HQ, we do believe that presentation is everything. We believe a beautiful plate can make a PB&J taste extraordinary, and that the perfect serving bowl is worth 1000 words. Also we believe that presentation mixed with innovative design should always be celebrated…because when those two things click – you kind of get a little piece of magic.
And wouldn’t you know it, these egg boilers are a perfect example.
Beyond the fact that we literally DROOL over the gorgeous color palettes, these boilers solve a very serious problem (well two, actually)
1) We have a knack for breaking eggs while we boil them
2) We have an even greater knack for searing the beejeezus off our fingers when trying to cut open said boiled egg.
The third awesome problem solved? Presentation. Now there is no need to transfer your boiled egg into a bowl where it rolls around, or hunt for those cute egg cup holders you bought in Germany circa 1976. You simply rest these puppies of the side of the pot, wait for them to cook, and lift them out and eat directly – straight from a delightfully colored egg boiler and with an equally delightfully colored spoon! Voila! You now love your eggs!
Imagine how cute these will look on a breakfast table with yummy pieces of toast (cut into soldiers of course) piled high on a cute plate, with a bowl full of fresh berries and a cherry glass of orange juice nearby.
See? Presentation.
And if you can achieve such a feat before 9am, what could you do with the rest of your day?

Does this cook the eggs in the shell or out? Looks like in - so how are there no burned fingers? If it cooked them out of the shell, it’d also be great for Egg Beaters, Only Whites, etc!

Basia, the eggs are cooked in the shell. The reason there are no burned fingers is because the eggs are served in the cute little container they were cooked in. Wait a few minutes for the egg to cool. Cut off the top and dig in with the matching spoon.

the box says they can’t be used with gas burners but if you are careful there is no problem

Sad to find out when my husband ordered this stocking stuffer that it is not for gas stoves. I wish the description would have warned me about that before I bought it!
