Goin’ to California

There are a few things that I can honestly say that I love in life: Bob Dylan being one, anything Missoni being another. The list of loves could go on for a bit, but I digress, three things that are definitely on that list: recycling, vintage, and Joni Mitchell. Imagine my surprise when I found these gorgeous earrings by Kris Nations! How, you may ask, do you get from earrings to my three loves…
Well, first, these earrings are made from reclaimed silver, which means there was no new (and damaging) mining involved in the silver used to make them. Second, Kris kept in the spirit of recycling by using vintage beads to accent the earrings. That brings us to Joni Mitchell, who is in no way related to the earrings or their making, but they remind me of something she might have word while sitting about her Laurel Canyon home in the 70’s – and I love that!
If there was ever an example of going "green" without having to go "granola", these earrings are it!

You know how they say, “A picture is worth a thousand words?” Well, in this case, the picture of these earrings does not convey how truly fabulous they are. The craftsmanship is remarkable. The color of the beads are salmon, ivory, and black which make them almost neutral and go with so many things. They are long but too long and very intriguing. I tried them on, fell in love with them, and bought them! They have become my new favorite thing!!!
