How To Unite A Table Of New Friends
July 7th, 2009
Product Tester Lynne tipped us off to this amazing pitcher, and we absolutely fell in love with is. Not only is the design and coloring beautiful, it is truly a delight to set at the table. Trust us, you’ll be amazed at how something so simple as a "gurgling" pot can liven up a table of guests. Be sure to snag this keepsake pot for yourself, and you MUST stock up on this for gifts. It is guaranteed to make even the hardest of hearts smile.
The Story of the GurglePot by Creator, Matt Ellison.
Years ago, I attended my brother’s wedding in a small village in Southern France. Since there were no hotels in town, all guests were matched with French hosts. My hosts spoke no English, and I spoke no French, which made the dinner conversation a challenge. Long stretches of awkward silences were compounded by the fact that French dinners can last for 3-4 hours. There was, however, one saving grace…a fish-shaped water pitcher that “gurgled.” I found myself drinking more water than wine so I could fill the silent room with “gurgling” and unite the table with smiles.
Inspired by the lighthearted affect of the “gurgling” sound, I returned home and began sculpting my own version. Ten years, two kids, 15 molds and one typhoon off the coast of China later, I can finally share the GurglePot with you. I’m confident it will create similar smiles around your dining table in years to come.

Just received as a hostess gift this past weekend and cannot stop using it… I would buy it in more colors, but it is made in China and I can’t bring myself to do it. I’ll buy it in EVERY color if they ever manufacture it here in the US!

I found this website from Heavy Petal. I would love to give my sister a gurglepot as a gift for being in my wedding. She would love it and her kids would get a kick out if it too!

I’ve been humming & hahing over this for months now and I still can’t get myself to buy it! It’s so cute and unique but I can’t justify $42.50 for it! =(

I ordered the aqua pot and it is really beautiful. Its just one more thing that is turning my dull and bland apartment into a personalized home. I love it!

I fell for this one HARD! Bought six for Christmas gifts for my (adult) kids and myself, each in a different color. Then ordered another recently for a friend’s birthday. Oh, yeah, and one for our trailer! That’s eight! I use mine every day for iced green tea. What fun!

I’ve got my pale green koi holding a bunch of lavender spider mums in its mouth–both whimsically gorgeous & gorgeously whimsical–LOVE IT! (Somehow, anthropologie had 2 of ‘em in the “sale” section for $19.95 *gasp!*; I wish I’d bought both…)

SO CUTE!
But I need to know, are they easy to clean? Or are they full of tiny crevices and hard-to-reach spots inside??
July 8th, 2009 at 5:26 am
Kelly,
These are totally dishwasher safe, and I’ve never had a problem with anything being stuck in the crevices.
Enjoy!

LOVE my gurglepot, just came yesterday. I bought the crimson and it is deeper in color than I was thinking but I still love it. I really want more colors so I can switch it up a bit. I am not to happy it is made in China so I would like to really urge the designer(based out of seattle) to have it made in the USA. Still want more colors though:) Photographed beautifully for my twitpic, thinking it needs some flowers!!

Now my grandson is officially part of the adult family, he’s getting his own “Fish Pitcher” for Christmas. He’ll like the slate color! We may have to have a “Fish Pitcher” Reunion!

has the designer really considered having it made in the usa? i would pay more if i knew that it wasnt glazed in china…
otherwise, what a cool idea… wish i could get one i could drink out of with peace of mind
