Christmas Woes…
November 1st, 2009
Mistletoe, Schmistletoe. Okay, so some of us aren’t as excited by the prospect of that moment underneath the mistletoe as some others. It is kind of like Valentine’s Day coming two months early.
Now maybe this is because some of us are curmudgeonly, but it also has to do with the nature of mistletoe putting you on the spot. You literally have to stand under a hanging plant and kiss
someone. Thinking of mistletoe’s purpose in such plain terms makes the small plant seem rather ridiculous, but that being said it is not something we could remove from our list of Christmas traditions.
You may wonder after just divulging our fear and annoyance of the mistletoe, why do we continue with it? We love the plant – the design of the small oval leafs and translucent white berries are the simplest of symbols during the Christmas season. We love the interpretation of mistletoe in this gorgeous aluminum and pearlized bead hanging cutout. The light-as-air metal will reflect the light as it twirls about and the beads will give the final touch ti the mistletoe that never gets old!
So don’t worry about your moment under the mistletoe, just make sure it doesn’t wilt!

i think this is very cute. i like using the real mistletoes but the problem with that is that they tend to fall apart, and dont last long. Even though the real ones have a great smell, and are great for decoration, i think this product is one that will definately have lasting memories, and will last. i just think this is a great gift, or even accessory on a christmas tree, or even hang it up on the entrance to a door. even though its not a real mistle toe, i’m pretty sure people can still kiss beneath it. =] very cute and very romantic. i just love christmas!

This is so gorgeous! I don’t have a place/doorway to hang it properly so I’ve put it on the tree for now. It makes a great ornament for sure!

This is so cool! I can’t wait to hang it up! It comes in an unfinished wooden box that will keep it safe all year round! I’m contemplating giving these as gifts this year! Would make a great hostess gift!
