The No-Cookbook Recipe Stand For Digital Chefs
July 30th, 2009
You’re a good cook. You’re an even better web surfer. When the food is on the table, you are invincible. Everything looks great and tastes even better, but when all the congratulating is done, you have to admit another thing, you’re an un-organized, digital cook.
It’s okay. The Food Network and Martha Stewart have led you through some tense dinner party menu-blocks. And now you have an impressive list of print-outs with no where to store them. And let’s not talk about what they look like after you’re finished cooking.
Thank God for wipe off countertops, dishwashers, and plastic appliances. All the damage you’ve spent several hours inflicting upon your kitchen can be repaired, save of course the balsamic vinegar you spilled all over page 134 of your favorite cookbook from the La Brea Bakery. You are constantly being reminded how unforgiving a surface paper actually is…
And then, like manna from heaven, appears our No-Cookbook Recipe Stand that can hold all your digital print outs and magazine tearouts in one classy stand. With its clear plastic shield and storage space, you will no longer be your cookbook collection’s worst enemy. In fact, your loose papers will stay so nice it will be like you don’t even use them…all those recipes are “just something you thought up.”
Be nice to your stealth internet recipes! They’re only trying to help you!

Would you consider adding this to editor’s picks? Thanks!

argh. I had given up hope of it reappearing in the editor’s picks and ordered it from elsewhere. No cute packaging or personal thank you for me. sigh.

Let me tell you a not-so-obvious reason why I love this No-Cookbook Recipe Stand. Once upon a time, I kept recipes that I had cut out from food magazines in a green spiral notebook. I kept this notebook in a drawer with other things, and one day I decided to clean out the drawer. I put things that needed to be thrown away in one pile and things I wanted to save in another. The trouble was, I had 2 green spiral notebooks, and some how I put the recipe notebook in the wrong pile and threw it away! Some of my absolutely favorite recipes were in that notebook that I will never, ever see or taste again. But now, because of the No-Cookbook Recipe Stand, my recipes are safe forever!

omg, thank you for this product. All my recipe clippings were in this folder that is slowly fall apart. I am so happy I can finally organize the clippings in this stand, yay!

I bought this No-Cookbook Recipe Stand for myself when shopping for a fondue pot. It is perfect!! My recipes were in a Hallmark expandable, paper recipe folder that was literally falling apart. I love this holder because of its size. Old recipes, on 8 1/2 by 11 sheets of paper, can now be viewed at a glance. Some of my recipes have notes written on them by family and friends. The only thing I need now are the additional sleeves!

Hey, Delight, I’d love to buy this because it looks great, but I don’t want to do it unless I know where to get extra sleeves. Can you please answer that for me and the others who’ve asked?

Hello Susan,
We are working on getting the refill pages they should be added to Delight soon. The No-CookBook recipe as of right now have 26 pages which you could double to 52 because you could use the front and back of the pages.
I hope this helps

I’m considering this stand, but would want 3 things:
1. To see what it looks like closed.
2. Extra pages.
3. Divider tabs.
Just food for thought.
March 26th, 2009 at 12:29 pm
SHOOT! It’s sold out already. Will you be offering it again soon???
And I’m also with Qtilla… it’d be nice to see it closed, dividers and extra pages. Thanks!

Ack! Must . . . have. Please restock!

I really like this recipe stand idea. I’ve kind of moved past using cookbooks, since the Internet is such a welcome source of randomly great recipes. I hope it is available again soon. It’s much better than sticking all my recipes on my fridge with magnets. I am already out of space!
May 5th, 2009 at 9:04 am
Yay, it’s back!! Is it possible just to buy the refill pages separately since most of us fans already have this cookbook stand? Thanks!! =)
May 5th, 2009 at 1:13 pm
I already have this and LOVE it! Some of my friends have seen it in use and I think they were a little jealous - lol.
Anyway, I’m wondering the same as Ina - since I already have it, is there a way to just buy the refills?

Glad I was able to get one for myself and one to give as a wedding present! I anticipate that I will love it since Delight shoppers’ feedback is so helpful!

I’m bummed I missed it and it’s sold out! Do you expect more?
May 5th, 2009 at 5:34 pm
15 hours left and no more product? What is the point of this?? I am so bummed because I really wanted to get this for my mom. Will there be any more before the end?
May 6th, 2009 at 7:02 am
Rats! I missed this one again!

The first time I saw this on delight, I waited too long and it was sold out before I got around to buying it. So the second time came around and I snatched it up quickly. I absolutely LOVE the idea of this. I received it in the mail, only to find that the ring at the top had been damaged during shipping. It’s not much of a binder if the “bind” is broken. Delight was so gracious and helpful that they sent me another one. Unfortunately, I received the replacement today, and it too has a ring that was bent. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am. I’ll still try to use it, but just be warned that if the rings get bent (whether in shipping or in use) your favorite cookbook stand will suddenly not be your favorite anymore.

Hi Kristy,
I just wanted to make sure you as well as all of Delight’s customers know that we are more than happy to resend replacements if an item arrives damaged from shipping. Even if it is 2 replacements for the same item! Lynne just finished hand packing your replacement so it should be on its way out soon!
Have a great day

I just received this, and I do love it!
To be fair:
Pros:
-great design, great idea! Already filled it half-way. So glad I got it when it was back in stock.
Cons:
-for some reason, I thought it would be a deep wood color– instead it is a black leather finish. Which is still fine, just not what I expected.
-the magnets aren’t as strong as I’d like, but it still works great.
-it came with WAY too much packaging. For being a green company, Delight packaged it in a) bubble wrap b) a Priority Mail box c) tissue paper d) an even bigger, unnecessary box around the Priority Mail box. I can do without the triple wrap!
Thanks!

Hi Lauren,
Thanks so much for the informative review of the No-Cookbook stand it was great!
Just to let you know we work very hard to use the least amount of packaging that we can but we have had a lot of the No-Cookbook arrive damaged, creating more waste and packing to ship out replacements. Therefore we had to implement a sturdier shipping system.
Have a great day

OOooo! Hurry and snap it up ya’ll! Wonder how long it will last this time? It’s a GREAT product! Good luck shoppers!

I ordered three and LOVE them–I was happily surprised that I could fit everything into 2 books (added side-effect of this purchase–I edited out the recipes I have not and know I will not make), so I passed one on to a friend. Looking forward to purchasing more pages in the future.
A tip: I typed up a list of the recipes in each stand and put it in the first page of each, so that I can find what I’m looking for a bit more easily.
