Wow. Your Bag Smells Great!
April 16th, 2007
What better way to be Earthy than to carry a bag made from the Earth? We smelled this vetiver bag a mile away, and when we saw its sassy curves, sleek wooden handle and organic texture, we knew it was our kind of eco-friendly fashion accessory.
Science Lesson: Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanoides) is a perennial grass native to India. “Vetiver” is native to Tamil language. Old Tamil literature mentions the usage of vetiver for medical purposes. (And we all know how many ills a good handbag can cure in times of woe!)
Vetiver is similar to lemon grass and citronella. It has a fresh, earthy, woodsy scent. Did you know that the scent of vetiver is contained in 36% of all western perfumes? Hence, this tote bag carries with it a very unique scent.
Think you’ll be robbing Mother Earth of a precious resource? Think again. Vetiver is a grass, and it – literally – grows like a weed. Its roots are so sturdy and reliable, that vetiver is often grown in disaster areas for flood control and bridge stabilization.
Hey, if it can thwart floods and stable bridges, then it probably makes a pretty sturdy handbag!
Consider this a guilt-free purchase. It’s a great bag at a great price. It’s eco-friendly and therapeutic. Like we always say…”you can be cute, and green to boot!”
Smell ya later!

Nhu,
I’ve had my Vetiver bag since January, and it’s as scented as ever!

p.s. imho I suggest getting a Luxe Link Purse Holder with this bag, so that it doesn’t soak up icky stuff from restaurant and bathroom floors…thus ruining the fresh scent
