My Shopping Style: My fondness for shopping is most heightened when it is like an episode on the Discovery Channel–delighting in wild surprises and being awestruck by the beauty of totally random things. Having grown up with very strong sentiments of east and west (my father is Japanese and mother is German) I am most drawn to unusual things that radiates an energy, yet oxymoronically are also very simple and almost understated in its presentation.

Biggest Indulgence:I love to travel – it is certainly my biggest indulgence, when I have the time and/or money for it.

My Shopping Style: I once bid on—and won—a handbag listed on eBay while in a face-to-face meeting. My acting was serviceable enough to avoid raising any suspicion among those in the meeting. I should probably take up poker or, at least, start auditioning for soaps.

Biggest Indulgence: Viva Piñata for XBox 360—not the game itself as much as the fact that I have, on occasion, allowed myself to tune out and play for hours on end. It’s my meditation. (Take that, Buddha.)

Favorite things to shop for: Seasonal produce and flowers at the Friday Venice farmer’s market.

One thing you hope to do in 2008: Be less responsible.

My Shopping Style: My shopping style since I’ve had kids has changed. I used to go shopping 2-3 times a month. Now I’m lucky if I get out 2-3 times a year! Okay, it’s not that infrequent, but it has dwindled a bit. Now I wait until I absolutely have to have something before I go shopping. It’s just too much of a hassle to get out all of the time like I used to.

My Shopping Style: I’m a saver and a splurger. I just spent $99 on a Splendid top for my daughter. I know it’s crazy, but she really takes her fashion seriously (she gets that from her mom) and it will go great over her favorite crushed velvet pants. Plus Splendid shirts last forever and come in delicious colors. Other times I’ll go to sample sales where I can find great deals for me and my daughter.

Biggest Indulgence: Cupcakes! No kidding. I keep a photo of a Sprinkles cupcake in my wallet.

Favorite things to shop for: Shoes, great kitchen gadgets that are both stylish and useful. I love to buy office supplies and cards. And anything orange!

One thing you hope to do in 2008: Write full time and quit my day job.

My Shopping Style: If it’s a necessity, like a vacuum cleaner–I’ll shop obsessively for days until I find the best quality at the best price. If it’s something for the house, or a great piece of clothing I’ll snap it up right away if I’m seriously in love with it. My Shopping Style: I am sort of an impulse shopper. Most memorable shopping experience of late was in Feb. Came across a brown pair of Nick Fanning Reef flip flops in Texas on sale for $10. These are flip flops with the bottle opener in the sole. They come in handy all summer long. What about selling them on Delight?
