I am a sucker for everyday items that are beautifully designed.  Sometimes I think the more useful/necessary a product is the more overlooked it is by product and packaging designers. 

My latest obsession is the oval Kleenex boxes.  I discovered them last year and have been buying different styles every month.  I even have converted one of my favorite designs (it has a Paul Smith stripe-y vibe) into an office flower vase (more below) and have refilled some boxes when the style is discontinued.

So imagine my surprise to find that Kleenex has a site that allows you to personalize your Kleenex box with photos and graphics.  It’s at MyKleenextissue.com.  It’s a bit over the top and the price is $4.99 plus shipping but if you are really into personalization hey, go for it!

I converted the Paul Smith style box into a vase by inserting a cheapo small bud vase into the box.  If you are in a pinch you can use a ziplock bag.  Really!
