The speaker is pretty decent for it’s size. Perfect for the office and very portable. The sound is fairly clear as well. Jimmy

We’ve been rocking out with our iPod speaker at Delight HQ (mostly to Queen) and we just wanted to give you a few hints about controlling the volume on your speaker.
If you want to turn the volume up or down, just use the lower two middle buttons, left is to lower the volume, right is to raise the volume. It is important to notice that you may have to press the button multiple times to change the volume.
Hope you enjoy our favorite gizmo for Christmas and seriously, put on “Somebody to Love” by Queen…you won’t be sorry!

I got the speaker and it is awesome! However, I am having a little trouble controlling the volume. I’ve pushed the button multiple times to lower the volume, but it doesn’t seem to affect the volume at all! Any advice would be much appreciated.

I know that is says what kinds of ipods they work with, but I was wondering if they work on the iPod Touch?
February 18th, 2008 at 6:43 am
I’ve been looking for a compact speaker for my iPOD Nano (3rd generation). It appears that this won’t work with that iPOD — will it? If not, can you recommend one?

I would also like to know if this product works with the iPod Touch.

This worked on my iphone (which was jailbroken).

Thank god I checked this. I was all upset that my little speaker had no volume. There isn’t anything on the package that tells you to push the buttons — ??!!!!
THANK YOU

only complaint is that it even the quietest setting is pretty loud.

August 9th, 2008 at 1:32 pm

August 12th, 2008 at 1:02 pm

August 12th, 2008 at 2:54 pm

September 20th, 2008 at 12:13 pm
Hi, i’m thinking of getting one but is it worth shipping over to England? please cud someone give a star rating?
November 1st, 2008 at 8:19 am
To my knowledge this only works with iPods. I tried it with a Sansa C250 which fits perfectly onto the speaker but won’t work with it.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:37 pm
like the other previous comments i was wondering how loud the speakers will get, because i’m really considering getting this gift for my brother. either way i love the fact that it doesn’t need it’s own separate battery, plus it comes in cute colors so i can get one that will match my brother’s blue ipod nano. If anyone has purchased this product previously, please answer my first question which was: how loud can the speaker get? and is the sound in good quality?
November 7th, 2008 at 7:18 am
i really love this little speaker. it’s great for personal use. it sounds great until i turn it to the loudest setting, which is pretty fuzzy sounding. is this normal or is mine faulty? i’ve tried it on many different songs.
November 7th, 2008 at 10:50 am
Hiya,
You’re definitely not getting “Bose” quality with this little guy…that said, we use it here at HQ and the volume is great to hear in a room. We’ve never had a problem with sound quality, although, like most speakers it does get a tad fuzzy when cranked up past 11. We suggest you use this in the mid-to high volume range, and you’ll love what you get for $19.
Our favorite use? Getting ready in our hotel room when traveling!
November 7th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
I love this speaker, but does it work with a Shuffle? If so, I have to buy at least two. Thanks.
November 12th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
I am using this with my iPod Touch. It kicks out almost as much tunes as typical laptop speakers. The sound quality is acceptable and the volume is enough to fill an otherwise quiet room. You can’t expect much more from speakers this size. I use it to listen to music while getting ready in the morning. This device totally makes up for the fact that the original iPod touches don’t come with a speaker.
November 15th, 2008 at 7:40 pm
i found this site through Simple-Finds, this is such a COOL little invention! I wonder if it works with a Creative Zen mp3 player, i got a dock for an ipod and it worked perfectly with my Zen.
November 17th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
I finally received this product in uber cute pink! It’s awesome. It’s pretty loud and clear on the lowest setting and pretty loud and fuzzy on a higher setting. I wonder if the fuzziness has to do with how much the iPod is fully charged? All in all a great match to my pink iPod! Plus it hardly takes up any space on the table!! LOVE it!
November 21st, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Thanks for answering questions on iPod compatibility and sound quality. One last question I have before I pick one up for my brother: Will it stack with actual LEGO bricks? I’m thinking of getting it and hiding it in a LEGO set for a present…
November 24th, 2008 at 8:52 am
I want to get one for my son, but does this speaker work with the older iPod shuffle? (it’s a hand-me-down)
Thanks!
November 24th, 2008 at 9:33 am
Liz,
The Ipod speaker does not work with the Ipod shuffle. Sorry about that, I have a shuffle too so I cannot use this fun gadget either!
Lynda
November 29th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
Does this work with the brand new iPod shuffles that just came out? The 4th generation ones? you know the ones that you shake and it shuffles up?

I don’t understand what powers these speakers….do they connect to your computer? do they feed off the ipod itself? do they have to be charged?

Does this work with I Phone?
December 1st, 2008 at 6:22 pm
Anne/Sarah,
Unfortunately, this speaker does not work with the iPhone. They do not connect to your computer and do not have to be charged. They feed off the power of your iPod, so no batteries are needed.

I just got three of these and they work with my iPod nano 3rd gen. yet not with my iPod Touch… though the box clearly says “docking connector for all iPod” & lists the iPod Touch on the back.
December 2nd, 2008 at 3:38 pm
Does this work with the new 4th generation IPOD?? I see a couple people have asked but nobody has replied.
December 5th, 2008 at 8:24 am
Just got these and I love it! Only thing is that it works with the iTouch 1st Generation and NOT the 2nd Gen iTouch. I bought it for my co-worker and hers isn’t compatible with it unfortunately.
December 10th, 2008 at 11:45 am
I ordered two of these - one for me, one for my nephew. In my humble opinion, the sound quality sucks. It’s like a mono radio through a tin can. Sure, they’re small and cute, but don’t waste your money. If I could return them, I would.
December 12th, 2008 at 9:34 am
Hi all,
Just to be clear - here’s what the iPod speakers work with:
It works with all 4th generation.
It works with all ipod classic, all nano, mini and 1st generation itouch.
It does NOT work with 2nd generation itouch, the iPhone or shuffles.
Enjoy!
December 16th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Once I found the volume controls, I loved it! I was upset at first because they are not apparent and it was very quiet. Not awesome sound but acceptable for everyday use while cleaning/cooking, and the size is great!
December 18th, 2008 at 10:14 am
Will this speaker work with a Sansa FUZE 8gb player?
Anyone know?
December 18th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
YES, it does work with the iPod touch! I have an iPod Touch and it works perfectly!
December 25th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
i bought 2 mini speakers and two i-pod touchs for my daughters for christmas this year and we cant get either speaker to work with them at all,big dissapointment for me and my children.
December 28th, 2008 at 9:28 am
This totally worked well with my bf’s Ipod Touch 1st Gen, but it not working w/our Nano 1st Gen. Hmm. Now, I have two and I can use only one really. It works well, though.
January 14th, 2009 at 11:22 am
Will this speaker work with any other kind of MP3 player?
February 16th, 2009 at 9:29 am
i can’t get it to work with my ipod nano 4th generation. i’ve been trying to shove the lego thing in and i feel like i’m going to break something
March 3rd, 2009 at 12:28 pm
I can’t get the volume to go soft enough to play it at work…….any advice? I saw one or two other people asked this as well……..
March 3rd, 2009 at 1:53 pm
Hello Debbie,
Great question. The ipod speaker has a volume control on it. Its super hidden though. The 2 buttons in the middle on the bottom row are the up and down volume controls!

Thank you–i do know where the volume controls are. My issue is that when I lower the volume it doesn’t go soft enough. It stays very loud.

Everyone loves the ipod speaker. Great to have around for emergency gifts.
March 19th, 2009 at 11:24 am
I ordered one of these for myself, while it is really cute, I can barely hear sound from it…..even with the volume all the way up on my iPod. From the comments, I wonder if it is defective?
July 8th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
You know, I really, really want to like this item. I’ve used it a half-dozen times in different settings–at home, in the office, even in my car once. It’s just too tinny for me. I know, I shouldn’t expect stereo sound from a Lego. But it’s enough to be annoying. I’ve passed it on to my 8-year-old who isn’t as particular as I am. She thinks it’s cool, mainly because it’s pink.
July 17th, 2009 at 8:20 am
I just got mine last night and I’m so excited. I’m a flight attendant and stay in many different hotels. I haven’t found many that have iHomes in the rooms. This will let me listen to and work out to my beloved music in my room without having to wear the ear buds. Yay!
July 24th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
I just bought one last night and its fantastic!
The only downfall for me is that it doesn’t work with my iPod cover because it (the cover) is too chunky (I need it to be thick because I’m too clumsy)
But it’s fantastic! And great for me to listen to while I’m in the shower (I put it on the sink, then go in the shower) instead of having to plug in a radio or stereo etc
I’d give this little thing a 4.9/5
v happy and worth the money

Does this little lego work with the new 5th generation Nano?
November 9th, 2009 at 7:10 pm
Does anybody has any issue of the volume not loud enough ? I just brought one. Even though I turned the volume to the highest and closed all windows when I was driving back home, I could barely hear it. Then I played it at my extreme quiet home. It only worked within 3-5 feets. I am not sure the one I got was defected. Or it just the way it was. I really like the good of this speaker. Anyway, I am going to exchange another one next week.
November 27th, 2009 at 11:34 am
Hi guys.
The design it very cute and I want to buy it as a christmas present but before that I have a question. Some people here say the sound is barely hearable. And others say the sound and volume are pretty decent for the price and size. So how loud is it then?
November 30th, 2009 at 10:52 am
Hi Alina,
I love the Ipod speaker and have bought a ton of them! The sound is way better than I expected and I think it is plenty loud. After all it is a just a fun speaker to toss in the picnic basket for $19.75!
December 3rd, 2009 at 5:15 pm
does this work with 5th generation?
December 19th, 2009 at 5:58 am
I am surprised that this is advertised to be used for an iPod Touch…it didn’t project any additional sound for me than the Touch speakers themselves. Hmmm….
March 15th, 2010 at 8:30 pm
Love these! They’re so fun
