Eww. There are icky germs on your Gucci.
March 22nd, 2007
It’s not like you’re obsessed or anything, it’s just…well you REALLY like your handbags, and when you’re out sipping key lime martinis with Man du Jour it’s really hard to pay attention to his earnest questions about your day because all you can think about is what cess pool of germs your Balenciaga is seeping in below your feet.
And it’s not like you’re trying to be hi-may, it’s just that you’ve never really understood why it’s necessary for you to eat a $20 salad while holding your Louis Vuitton in your lap. Sure, the place looks clean, but seriously – when was the last time that floor had a good mopping with some hot soapy water? Exactly. No one knows. And both you and Paris Hilton understand that it’s so not worth ruining your handbag (and lunch) by throwing that gorgeous leather on the floor to waste away in germ-ville.
Sister. We hear your pain. And for that pain we give you the Luxe Link. It’s a purse holder you can slip into any purse, that’s as compact as a compact and as sturdy as a pair of Tods driving shoes. Simply un-fold it’s patented hinge hook and place it securely (backed by a non-slip rubber coating) on any table or bar edge and your Gucci is safe from the icky floor and right in arm’s reach. That way, you can grab your Blackberry, lip gloss or mace (depending on how the night goes) with a flick of your well-moisturized wrist. And the Luxe Link holds up to 9 pounds - so feel free to carry all three items.
When the Luxe Link is not in use, use it as a mirror. We imagine Rachel Bilson would appreciate such versatility…the ability to guard her Chanel against soda spills and latte leaks while maximizing the opportunity to apply lip-gloss before greeting the paparazzi.
And you, my dear, should expect no less.

Another bar gadget? This place is like heaven. I’m going to be seriously outfitted for my nightly adventures.

Ack! Love it! I hate when I have to put my purse on the floor!
March 22nd, 2007 at 10:42 am

it looks so small…are you sure it can hold something bigger than a tiny clutch?
March 22nd, 2007 at 11:40 am
We’ve tested it! It can hold my big, scary saddle of a bag!
March 22nd, 2007 at 12:15 pm
Kim’s right - her bag is a scary saddle (but in a good way)
Jamie - your order has been shipped, girlfriend!

I watch other women place their handbags on all types of floors (public restroom, restaurants, bars, etc). Can you imagine all kinds of germs are living in your purse? This is a neat invention for germaphobes like me!

I don’t know about this thingy…is it really useful or will it fall to the bottom of my handbag amoung all the other debri…has anyone ever really used one???
March 22nd, 2007 at 2:05 pm
Good question - yes - I’ve been using mine (and so has our product tester) - I find if I keep it in the pouch it’s pretty easy to grab. if you’re still worried about the Luxe Link falling into never never bag land, you can totally attach the purse link to your purse strap - the magnets will hold it securely in place

This is great! Does it work on a movie theater seat I wonder. ?? I have been wanting to invent something just like this for years!
March 23rd, 2007 at 7:26 am
How does it stay attached to the top of the table? Will it work for all tables? And how much does it weigh?

I was just considering buying one of these but didn’t see any that seemed very discrete/collapsible. I’ll defn consider this. It’s a bit pricier than I’d imagine. Thanks for featuring it though. I just may do a post about it on my Luxe Mix Blog

Hey Luxe Girl - your blog is great - and we’re happy you’re also a part of DelightfulBlogs
As far as price for the Luxe Link - believe me…I’ve been shopping for a great purse hook, and this is the ONLY one I’ve found that is a) sturdy b) cute c) compact and easy to carry d) made of good quality materials.
There has been a lot of thought and planning going into this puppy, and the result is truly the best purse hook I’ve found anywhere. And well worth the $$$.

Hi Wendy,
I’ve tried the luxe link in a few movie theaters. You can put the hook on the back of the seat in front of you! It also works great in the office/desk at work and at a salon when you’re getting your nails or hair done!

I’ve seen purse hooks before by some friends of friends but carrying around a hook in my bag didnt seem to appealing to me. But when I saw how tiny and compact this thing is I HAD to buy this!
I’ve this for a couple of weeks now and I love it. When it arrived at my office, the first thing I did was show all my girlfriends at work. They loved it and thought it was one of the coolest things they ever saw and immediately told their friends about it!

how does it work? is it a magnet or a weight?
April 11th, 2007 at 7:41 am
Jessica- The Luxe Link relies on weight. The round part has a heavy rubber backing underneath which prevents the purse holder from slipping. The chain link hook holds your bag securely in place while balancing against the holder.
There are magnets in the Luxe Link, which allow the hook part to wrap around and stay compact when you’re not using it.
For those of you just tuning in - you can purchase the fab Luxe Link purse holder here:

With free gift wrapping on all orders, it’s great for gifts!… even if it’s a gift to your own handbag

Hi. Me very much to like here. I shall advise this site to the friends.
I am sorry for my English. I only learn this language.

I don’t doubt that this is well-made, etc., but I got a darling purse holder that is hand-carved 2-toned wood in the shape of a flower for about $15. It has held up really well. I like the design of yours better, as far as how compact it is, and so I think Id like that aspect better, but for this price, I don’t think so…I’d buy it for $25, tops

I bought my mom one. I bought myself one. I bought my girlfriends one. These are totally cute. Well made and designed very nicely. People might snub the $35 price tag but you get what you paid for. A high end gadget for your precious purses and ummm… I hate to say this but my bags are pretty expensive ( yes I have a purse habit) so paying $35 is nothing to keep my bags off the gross icky ground.

I bought 4 of the luxe link’s for myself and female member of my family and just ordered another one, they are fantastic, well worth the money.

Everyone needs one of these and they make great gifts for your “germ freak” friends!

love love love it! I no longer have disgusting ‘bar grit’ on the bottom of my purse
June 6th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
I saw this months ago and was too cheap to get one until just now. It is sooooo worth it. The link is tinier than it looks and easily holds my giant, heavy handbag(about 10 lbs). I finally had enough of trying to balance my purse on my knees or sticking my hand in gum (gross!) looking for the purse hooks under the bar.

I love this product! I receive a compliment whenever I use it. I have already stocked up and am giving them as gifts and everyone loves it!

I LOVE my Luxe Purse holder and so do all of my girlfriends - even my gay male friends are wanting to buy them for all of their girlfriends as gifts! I’ve told at least 20 people about delight.com who have seen my purse holder and inquired about where I got it. It’s a HUGE hit!!!
